EIGHTY NINE

Drawing 89: This is how I feel when I wake up. My eyelids fuse together overnight, and it's near impossible to open them before 10am.

EIGHTY EIGHT

Drawing 88: I realize I'm way behind. But I can't force it. Recently, I've been reading more comics and just watched a documentary called "Comicbook Confidential" that's just great. I'm afraid the paper comic world is slowing fading in favour of "motion-comics" and film. I mean, Sam Jackson just signed a 9 film "Nick Fury" deal with Marvel. Marvel has become a movie studio. I haven't set foot in an actual comic book shop in years, let alone purchase anything.

I'm going to strive to create some shorts and try to get them published locally. There are a couple of alternative magazines printed in the Salt Lake area. I think it'd be a good last breath. I doubt the media will be around much longer.

EIGHTY SEVEN

Drawing 87: This is Druby. He's a gothic character I drew about 4 years ago. He originally had a little black umbrella. Very Tim Burton. I planned on doing something with him, but never hammered anything out. I suppose his tales would be dark. Maybe I'll include him in my series, "The Tales of Thomas Wort" project I'm working on.

EIGHTY SIX

Drawing 86: Smeh.

EIGHTY FIVE

Drawing 85: This is my manager, Dustin. He found my drawings blog, and made a request for me to draw him.

This doesn't mean I'll draw you...unless I think you're characterable. (Dustin is an easy characterable person.)

EIGHTY FOUR

Drawing 84: I know my numbers are off, but according to my blog they're right. Now I have to go back and find where I screwed up to fix it all. So, this is drawing 84.

EIGHTY THREE

Drawing 83: I like this guy.

EIGHTY ONE

Drawing 81: This is similar to drawings of past. I think this is an abstraction of my first instinct when I draw a face. I'm generally inclined to draw Homer Simpson. Although the intention of drawing him didn't exist during the process, it certainly reared it's ugly head in the end. I hope I break past that phase. I've been doing that for the last 10 years.
